JetStream Lighting Control System named as standard feature in new Infinity Homes
CentraLite Systems® Inc., an innovative developer of lighting control and automation products, and Infinity Homes, a highly respected Gulf Coast custom homebuilder, have jointly announced that CentraLite’s JetStream Wireless Lighting Control System has been selected as a standard feature in new residential construction by Infinity Homes beginning this month.
Competitive Differentiation Key Factor
Competitive differentiation was a key factor in Infinity Home’s decision to standardize on JetStream. The company builds approximately 250 homes each year in Alabama and Mississippi. The homes, built on the buyer’s lot, range in size from 1,200 to 2,700 sq ft and $84,000 to $185,000. The affordable, feature-rich JetStream System allows the builder to provide a previously high-end residential technology to all prospective homeowners, sweetening the company’s offerings in an extremely competitive market.

Convenience, Security and Energy Savings
CentraLite’s innovative controller-less design makes it easy for installers to provide a basic lighting control system for homes of any size. For little more than the cost of five stand-alone dimmer switches, the JetStream Launch PAK, containing five pre-programmed dimmers and a car remote, can be used to control all programmed lights with a single button press. With the car remote, lights can even be triggered from the safety of the family vehicle to create a bright walkway into the house and beyond.
For homeowners interested in extending lighting control throughout the entire home, the JetStream system can include up to 200 devices in its wireless network, providing up to 512 dimming levels and the ability to compose up to 100 lighting scenes and 50 timed events.
JetStream is an excellent foundation for a comprehensive home energy conservation program. When lights are dimmed by 50%, bulbs can last up to 20 times longer and energy consumption is cut by as much as 40%—a very easy way to conserve energy. Homeowners change fewer light bulbs and eliminate the need for expensive 3-way bulbs. JetStream can even be integrated with HVAC controls and home security systems.
